Mourning the Sudden Loss of Painter & Inspirator Denyse Thomasos

Denyse Thomasos

My heart is heavy. I mourn the sudden loss of Painter and Inspirator Denyse Thomasos… East Village neighborhood friend.  I had imagined that you, me, Samein, and your daughter Syann were embarking on a loooong creative friendship.  You had recently offered your Mentorship, and I gladly accepted… you touched something powerful off in me.   Thank You.

What About Process?

www.leahshea.com

Where are you in your process?  Never mind the outcome.  You wouldn’t think of going some place, without thinking about the going.  Process is to outcome, what travel arrangements are to destination.  You may have a destination, but what about the journey?  Take another step with me.  If you told your friends you went on a journey, don’t you visualize the destination as part of that journey?  Where is your focus?  Think about your perspective here.

Last night  at the restaurant, I heard from a gentlemen whose manuscript had just been rejected for the sixth time.  I pat him on the shoulder and jovially said to him, “Oh, you mean you’re six times closer to it getting accepted?”  His eyes immediately lit up, and a big grin came across his face.  I reminded him of some kind of truth.  I suggested he have the intention to continually shift his perspective to the process.
